Jane Mitchell’s novel, Chalkline, has just been announced the winner of this year’s Essex County Book Award from a shortlist of six novels.Run by Essex County Council’s Library service, the county-wide scheme is aimed at encouraging secondary school pupils to enjoy reading and foster a passion for fiction.

[ April 17, 2010; 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. ] We will be holding a lunch for all Green Past Pupils in the school on Saturday, 17th April at 1 p.m.
We hope you will join us on this social occasion when we plan to celebrate the official launch of the GPPA Website.
The closing date for bookings is Thursday, March 25th. As spaces for this event are limited, we advise early booking to avoid disappointment.
The cost of the lunch is €25 plus a small booking fee of €1.20, if you pay online.

Two Irish event companies received the prestigious Special Event Gala Awards.
History was created on the 15th January at the Special Events show in New Orleans, when Ireland won an unprecedented two awards at the prestigious Gala Awards Ceremony.
