Undaunted by the worst rainy day in months, a group of Green Past Pupils gathered at Loreto Hall before setting off to complete the Flora Mini Marathon and raise money for the Loreto Charity Fund.
It’s fair to say that , after the sunshine of the last few weeks, the inclement weather caught us all unawares. The going was bleak, the surface slippy but spirits remained high throughout. The banter and chat kept us going, along with the prospect of the warm welcome when we returned to Loreto Hall, where Sister Camilla, Sister Paula & Sister De Montford, along with Alison and Muriel, were waiting with warm scones and tea.
Keeping up with the annual tradition, the Donnybrook firemen still emerged to hose us down, although by that stage, we were already soaked through!
Many thanks to Helen Mc Phillips, Mary Marjoram, Nicola Farrell, Fiona Kelly, Kate, Lisa Mc Donnell and Ciara Freaney who braved the elements and joined me on the journey.
