Evergreen Concert – 27th April

The Green Past Pupils will present An Evergreen Concert on Friday 27th April, 2012 at 8.00 pm in the School Concert Hall. All proceeds from the night will go towards the Irish Cancer Society’s Action Breast Cancer Programme.

Tickets cost €20, and will include a glass of wine & nibbles at the interval.

We have put together a wonderful line up of artistes – and it promises to be a very enjoyable evening.

The programme includes:

  • Gemma Doorly (Our MC for the evening), Annemarie O’Farrell on Harp, Jenny Porter on Flute & Piano, Úna Crawford O’Brien, Ellen Fitzgeral, Máire & Helen Ní Chearbhaill and our very own past pupils choir: Verdi 53
  • There will be a reception of wine and nibbles catered by Fitzers during the interval.
  • There will also be a raffle on the night with a range of great prizes.

Action Breast Cancer is a programme of the Irish Cancer Society, each year reaching over 25,000 women who are concerned about breast cancer and breast health. It strives to ensure that everyone affected by breast cancer receives the highest standards of treatment, support and care, and to improve the quality of life of people living with breast cancer.

Flora Women’s Mini Marathon

Yet again, GPPA members Deirdre Fahy, Caroline Sheehan and Catherine-Anne Dooley will be taking to the streets in the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon on the 4th June!

As we did last year, the GPPA will be sending on all monies raised to The Loreto Centre, Crumlin, run by Sr. Brede Quirke. Last year, we were delighted to send her €500. Hopefully we can match that amount again this year, and perhaps even raise it.

Sr. Brede has been in touch with the Association to thank all the Green Past Pupils for their support.
If you’d like to make a donation to this fundraising appeal, you can visit our page http://www.mycharity.ie/event/caroline_and_catherineanne_on_the_run/ Alternatively, you can send your donation to:
GPPA, c/o Anne Cooke, 25 Nutgrove Park, Clonskeagh, Dublin 14. (All cheques should be made payable to The Green Past Pupils’ Association.)

You can also make a donation online by clicking on the mini marathon ‘donate’ button below or in the sidebar. You can pay with Paypal or credit card. All monies raised will go to the Loreto Charities.

(Please note – paypal withhold a percentage of the amount pledged)

You can be assured that all monies raised will go directly to Sr. Brede, and will be put to very good use.
