Family to Family Drop-In Day

In 2011, the GPPA started a new initiative, Family to Family, as a way of helping other families in a practical way. The response we received from past pupils, pupils and their families to last year’s appeal was fantastic and the Family to Family Drop-In Day was a huge success.

Why not drop into the school for tea, coffee, mince pies etc. on Saturday, 8th December, 2012 between 11 and 3,  for what we hope will be an enjoyable social occasion. Please bring with you something from the following list –

  • New or barely worn Children’s Clothes (The guide is that they should be clothes that a mother would be happy to put her child in, and that a child would be proud to wear)
  • Fancy / Treat Food Items for Christmas Hampers
  • Dunnes Stores Vouchers
  • Pantomine Vouchers
  • New Toys
  • Nappies

All items donated on the day will be passed on to Loreto sisters who are working in the local community, and who are aware of where they are most needed.

Flora Women’s Mini Marathon

Yet again, GPPA members Deirdre Fahy, Caroline Sheehan and Catherine-Anne Dooley will be taking to the streets in the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon on the 4th June!

As we did last year, the GPPA will be sending on all monies raised to The Loreto Centre, Crumlin, run by Sr. Brede Quirke. Last year, we were delighted to send her €500. Hopefully we can match that amount again this year, and perhaps even raise it.

Sr. Brede has been in touch with the Association to thank all the Green Past Pupils for their support.
If you’d like to make a donation to this fundraising appeal, you can visit our page http://www.mycharity.ie/event/caroline_and_catherineanne_on_the_run/ Alternatively, you can send your donation to:
GPPA, c/o Anne Cooke, 25 Nutgrove Park, Clonskeagh, Dublin 14. (All cheques should be made payable to The Green Past Pupils’ Association.)

You can also make a donation online by clicking on the mini marathon ‘donate’ button below or in the sidebar. You can pay with Paypal or credit card. All monies raised will go to the Loreto Charities.

(Please note – paypal withhold a percentage of the amount pledged)

You can be assured that all monies raised will go directly to Sr. Brede, and will be put to very good use.
